This bee with nose buried in the flowers started in response to a challenge for the word relationship. The bee and the flowers have a symbiotic relationship – meaning mutually beneficial to both. This piece is the start of my “bee” friendly series.

Hand painted iris was enhanced with lots of stitching and then mounted on a hand dyed piece of fabric. That was then stretched around an oval canvas frame.
