The red/orange tulips were a still-life display for a drawing/painting class. While drawing them, I visualized myself admiring the tulips in a window opened onto the beach, and I could feel the warm spring breeze. Entire piece is machine appliquéd using commercial and hand-dyed/hand-painted fabrics. Sparkle and dimension were added with melted cellophane, organza, Angelina fibers, metallic threads and fabric paint.
